ASSISTANT
CHIEF ENGINEER
We
are seeking an Assistant Chief RF Engineer for our small market radio and
television group. To be based mainly on the Outer Banks. The successful
candidate will have experience with radio, IT and some TV and will possess
a good working knowledge of electronics, AM, FM, LPTV transmitters and
studio equipment. They must also have their own tools, a good driving
record and their own vehicle and be on-call for after hour emergencies. Compensation is negotiable.

REPRESENTATIVE
East Carolina Radio is looking for an experienced sales representative, East Carolina Radio is the largest and only locally owned radio group in northeastern North Carolina. INTERNSHIPS
Internships
are available at the Elizabeth City and Nags Head locations.
Interns
will have the opportunity to be exposed to the day-to-day operations of
radio stations. The three areas that you may be involved in are: -
-
Programming
- involves music research and selection, on-air imaging and
branding, creative copywriting, studio and production work and news
and information gathering and dissemination.
-
Engineering
- involves exposure to the entire radio station technical chain from
on-air and production studio equipment to tower, antenna and
transmitter equipment. You will learn how to read electrical
schematic drawings, diagnose and repair sensitive electronic
equipment, how to set up LAN-WAN digital networks and be exposed to
all aspects of the conversion from analog to digital technology.

Marketing
- involves learning how to research an industry and the companies
within that industry. Involves marketing idea conception and
promotional development, public relations, copywriting, direct sales
methods and station to business owner involvement.
